Tom Brokaw's Birthday Is A Good Time To Look At His Top 7 Career ...

It?s hard to believe that Tom Brokaw, the man who first burst onto the national news scene in 1973 with news of the Watergate Scandal, is turning 73 today.

Over the course of his long career, Brokaw has hosted "The Today Show," "NBC Nightly News," "Dateline" and briefly, "Meet The Press." He has won every major broadcast journalism award as well our admiration for his no-nonsense and honest approach to journalism.

While Tom is currently enjoying a quiet lifestyle on his ranch in Montana, in honor of his birthday, we wanted to look back at a busier time in the reporter's life, back to when he was bringing the most important news of the day to our living rooms every evening. Below we have compiled a list of Tom?s top seven reporting moments that changed the world and lives of many.

Happy birthday Tom! We know you will continue to do great things.
