LAS CRUCES >> Former New Mexico State Aggie and current NFL player Davon House will hold a youth football clinic Saturday on the campus of New Mexico State University.

The clinic, for children ages 5 to 13, is free to the public and sponsored by USA Football and the NFL Play 60 Program. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the east practice field (just east of Aggie Memorial Stadium, on the corner of Stewart and Arrowhead). The university will also assist in the camp's production.

Interested participants can still register Saturday at the east practice field, beginning around 8:30 a.m.

New Mexico State will also hold a social featuring House on Saturday at 6 p.m. on the third floor of the Stan Fulton Center in the Danny Villanueva Victory Club Bistro. The event's admission is free to the public.

USA Football will provide the clinic curriculum with a practice schedule; clinical manuals; equipment (footballs, flag belts and cones); and t-shirts for each participant.

House, a cornerback, played for the Aggies from 2007-2010. He said he participated over 300 hours of community service during his time in Las Cruces, working primarily with children ages 5 to 13. He was a family and consumer sciences major at NMSU.

"I've always considered Las Cruces a second home. Really

always enjoyed my time there," House said during a recent interview. "I met a lot of people and made a lot of friends there. So I'm looking forward to giving back."

A native of Palmdale, Calif., House was a four-year starter at NMSU, recording 11 interceptions and three touchdowns during his Aggie career. He also broke up 46 passes, recovered three fumbles and earned All-WAC honors his final two years in college.

In April of 2011, House was selected in the fourth round of the NFL Draft by Green Bay. After appearing in two games during his first NFL season, House saw more playing time in 2012 with the Packers. He started five games at cornerback, picking up 26 tackles, recording five pass breakups and a sack.
