JinkoSolar is supplying photovoltaic modules for one of the largest roof-mounted solar power projects in South Africa.
Located in Johannesburg, the project by Soventix GmbH will use 1,200 JinkoSolar modules.
It will have the capacity to provide approximately 443,840 kilowatt hours of electricity per year and cut emissions by around 72 tons of carbon dioxide annually.
"We are very happy to build a strong partnership with Soventix GmbH to supply and construct this paradigmatic roof-mounted PV plant in South Africa," said Mr. Arturo Herrero, chief marketing officer of JinkoSolar.
JinkoSolar considers South African one of its key markets. They currently have around 300 megawatts worth of contracts with various partners for projects in the region.
"We are happy to notice that not only could our clients enjoy the reduction of their electricity bills, but they also benefit from the diminishing of carbon taxes," said Mr. Rowan Jacklin, Soventix GmbH's regional manager. "Soventix has vast experience in providing our clients with high-standard PV projects, and our cooperation with JinkoSolar will undoubtedly enhance our competitiveness."
Soventix GmbH, headquartered in Duisburg, Germany, plans, constructs and operates solar plants worldwide.
