The actor's wife?Erin?delivered daughter?Mia Loren Ziering?at 10:09 p.m. Monday in Los Angeles, PEOPLE confirms. Weighing in at 7 lbs., 6 oz., the baby girl's name begins with 'M' in honor of Ian's late mother Micki, a source tells PEOPLE.

"Well, it's official, I'm a dad!," the former?Beverly Hills, 90210?star, 47, wrote on his Facebook page.

"As I sit holding Mia, Erin sleeps the most beautiful sleep. My thoughts race with visions of a brighter future, only made possible by what happens today... or, last night! God bless us all."

The couple, who?wed in May 2010,?announced the pregnancy in October and celebrated?with a baby shower?last month.
