Question by Deen/Family = #1: Is it legal to download and use a software that converts the videos on youtube to mp3 format?
My friend downloaded a software from download . com CNET. It allows him to copy and paste the URL Of the youtube page, and it converts the Video into MP3 Format, like just the music. Is this legal?

Probably if it?s just for his own private music collection. The songs on youtube are free to listen to. If your friend made copies of those songs and gave them his friends, though, that would be illegal.
